Acheson takes third in cross country meet
Randolph Center, VERMONT - Freshman runner Jocelyn Acheson (North Waterboro, Maine) had an outstanding performance in her first collegiate cross country meeting, finishing third overall with a time of 22:37, just thirty seconds off of the winning time.
Acheson's performance netted her a first place finish for the Moose, as well as the first place spot among the Yankee Small College Conference schools in participation.
Sophomore Angelica Bulgin (Lisbon, Maine) took second for the Moose with a time of 25:47, and Junior Holly Dubord (Livermore, Maine) round out the scoring for the women with a time of 29:44.
On the men's side, Sean Putman-Labbe (Winslow, Maine) finished first for the Moose with a time of 40:48, while John Nesbit (Gardiner, Maine) was second (45:30), and Charlie Tompson (Freeport, Maine) was third.
The Moose travel to Unity on Saturday for their second meet of the season.
