(Augusta, ME) In the season opener on Saturday, September 10th, 2022, the University of Maine at Augusta hosted the Moose Invitational for the first time since 2019. 5 teams, including UMA, CMCC, UMF, Thomas College, and YCCC, generated a very talented field of runners that took on the challenging course here at the University of Maine at Augusta campus. Laura LeFloch, a first year student at UMA from Ploemeur, France, blasted the final mile to move up four spots and finish 4th overall. Coach Niles is confident this will not be LeFlochs only podium finish this year. Next, the Moose will trek to Husson College to compete in the Maine State Colligate Championship on October 1st, 2022.
