Augusta, ME – At the UMA graduation on May 12th Dean of Student’s Sheri Fraser presented senior cross-country and basketball athlete Carmen Bragg with the Kathleen Dexter Distinguished Student Award. This award is given annually to one of UMA’s top all-around graduating students and the criteria for selection includes:
AUGUSTA, ME—On Saturday, May 12th the University of Maine at August held it’s 50th graduation ceremony.
AUGUSTA, ME-- On Thursday, May 10th, 2018, the University of Maine at Augusta Athletic department inducted their inaugural class into the UMA Athletic Hall of Fame.
South Portland, ME – UMA women’s basketball (13-2) improved their winning streak to 5 games after defeating conference opponent Paul Smith’s College at SMCC 86-40.
Concord, NH – The University of Maine at Augusta women’s basketball team (10-2) traveled to New Hampshire over the weekend to play in the NHTI Holiday Inn New Year's Classic. The Moose picked up where they left off before winter break winning their first game of the new year against Berkeley College 61-51.
Concord, NH – It was an early 10:00 a.m. game slated for the Moose as they opened the second day of tournament play against Massasoit Community College. However, that early time slot did not impact UMA as they played their way to another commanding win closing the tournament weekend out undefeated.

AUGUSTA, ME - It was a special night for the University of Maine-Augusta (10-2) women’s basketball team as Caitlin LaFountain etches her name in the history books and the Moose hand the Unity College Rams (1-5) a lopsided 118-15 defeat at the Augusta Civic Center.
AUBURN, Maine – The Moose hosted Hampshire College at Central Maine Community College on Sunday notching a commanding win of 93-12.
Junior Caitlin LaFountain has been named USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week. The Moose have improved to 7-1 on the season with a victory over Southern Maine CC and the University of Maine Machias.
AUGUSTA, ME – The University of Maine-Augusta (8-1) hosted Bunker Hill Community College (0-4) at the Civic Center Wednesday night and won (112-26) scoring the most points in a single game in program history.
AUGUSTA, ME - The University of Maine-Augusta (7-1) women’s basketball team extended their winning streak to five games with an 80-50 win over the University of Maine-Machias Clippers (4-4) at the Augusta Civic Center Tuesday night.
AUGUSTA - The University of Maine at Augusta Moose seal a 62-60 victory over the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves.
PAUL SMITHS, NY – UMA (4-1) started their weekend on the road in the foothills of the Adirondacks against Paul Smith (3-2). The travel didn’t seem to affect the Moose as they are now 3-0 on the road.
CONCORD, NH – UMA (5-1) rounded out the weekend on the road with a dominating win over a very strong NHTI team (3-2).
Fort Kent, ME—The University of Maine at Augusta traveled to Fort Kent, ME over the weekend to take on the Bengals from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. While travel could have easily slowed the Moose at the start of the game, they sprung off to an early 23-16 lead over Fort Kent in the first quarter. Junior Caitlin LaFountain netted a quick 8 points and 7 boards in one quarter of action, which forced the Bengals to add more pressure in the paint.
