Interim Tag Removed, Piscopo Officially Now Head Men's Basketball Coach at UMA

AUGUSTA, ME - Paul Piscopo has been announced as the head men's basketball coach at the University of Maine at Augusta.

Piscopo will start the 2022-2023 men's basketball season at UMA right where he left off, only now, the "interim" tag has been removed. "I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to changing the trajectory of the men's basketball program at UMA." says Piscopo. "In my short stint as interim head coach to finish out last season, I felt we started turning the corner. There should be no doubt that with the group of players returning, and the incoming talent already committed, the sky is the limit for this team, we just need to put in the work and believe in our new identity as a winning program." There is already a positive "buzz" for the upcoming basketball season for the UMA Moose where Piscopo intends to change the culture to one that expects to compete for championships.
