PAUL SMITHS, NY – UMA men's basketball passed by the Lake Placid Olympic Center on their way to Paul Smith's College (6-14) for a YSCC conference matchup early Monday afternoon. The Moose defeated Paul Smith's college in the final game of the first semester in overtime and were looking for another win after the long road trip to New York.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first few minutes played out slowly with the Moose and going up 9-6 to start the game. The Bobcats closed the gap and took the lead 28-26 with 5 minutes left in the first half. Both team struggled with fouls early on and closed out the first half with the Bobcats leading the Moose 43-38.
Paul Smith's College opened up a lead in the opening minutes of the first half going up 54-43 with 16:30 remaining on the clock. The Moose battled back to within 4 in the final 4 minutes of the game but the Bobcats pulled away with shooting from the free throw line and would go on to win 96-84.
This Wednesday the Moose head to the University of Maine Farmington January 16th for a 7PM game against the Beavers.
