AUGUSTA - The 49th University of Maine at Augusta commencement was held on Saturday, May 14th, celebrating 400 hundred students receiving their respective degrees. In the graduating class, there were 9 student-athletes that received their degrees at the Civic Center before their friends, family, and faculty.
SOUTH PORTLAND— The Yankee Small College Conference hosted their annual awards banquet Friday afternoon where it was announced that Dustin Simpson-Bragg was named to the YSCC second team.
UNITY, ME – The UMA men’s basketball team took advantage of a break in the snow over the weekend to travel to Unity to face the Rams in the last game of the regular season.
AUGUSTA, ME – After a change in date due to snowy conditions on Tuesday, the UMA men’s basketball team faced NHTI (11-2, YSCC) in an important conference matchup Wednesday night. UMA hosted their Senior Night and started the evening by honoring senior Nick Bragg for his commitment to UMA basketball as well as for his achievements in the classroom.
MACHIAS, MAINE – The UMA men’s basketball team traveled to Machias to face the defending Yankee Small Conference Champions on Thursday night.
Dustin Simpson-Bragg was named YSCC Player of the Week. In two games this week, Simpson-Bragg averaged 38 points per game and was 9-13 from three-point land.
UNITY, ME—The UMA men’s basketball team traveled to Unity to host a 5-3 YSCC opponent College of St. Joseph Sunday afternoon.
Dominique Lewis, a 2016 graduate from Lawrence High School joins the Moose for second half of the 2016-2017 season. In high school, Lewis was a tri-sport athlete excelling in basketball, field hockey, and softball.
AUGUSTA, ME—Thursday, December 8th marked the last home game of the fall semester for the UMA men’s basketball team. The Augusta Civic Center was buzzing with anticipation for a big conference match up between UMA and the Unity College Rams.
NORTHFIELD, VT -- The UMA Men's Basketball team traveled to Vermont to participate in the Ed Hockenbury Classic hosted by Norwich University. The Moose opened the tournament against the Cadets with a steal followed by a dunk from Dustin Simpson-Bragg.
UNITY, ME -- The UMA men’s basketball team faced off against the Dean College Bulldogs in Unity, ME on Thursday, December 1st. This matchup was the second of four straight NCAA Division III competitions for the Moose this seasons.
AUGUSTA, ME— The Moose faced off against Pine Manor College of Newton, Massachusetts at the Augusta Civic Center last night. The Moose set the tone in the first half, with Noah Thompson, Dustin Simpson-Bragg, and Jordan Holmes combining for 36 points and 9 rebounds.
AUGUSTA, ME—The UMA Men’s basketball team took on 8-1 Southern Maine Community College for the first time this season at the Augusta Civic Center. The Seawolves opened the game with a 6-0 run until Jordan Holmes drained his first 3 of the night leading to a back and forth throughout the first half of play.
CONCORD, NH—The Moose tipped off against YSCC Conference opponent NHTI on Sunday, November 20th for the Championship game of the NHTI Hogan Camps Thanksgiving Tournament. A strong first half showing from Dustin Simpson-Bragg and Jordon Holmes were not enough to fend off the Lynx who outscored the Moose 61-43 in the first half.
AUGUSTA, ME— The Moose were back in conference action last night to take on the University of Maine at Machias Clippers. The Moose set the tone in the first half, with co-captain Dustin West lighting up from beyond the arc. West connected for 5 three’s in the first half, contributing 20 points.
AUGUSTA, ME—The UMA men’s basketball team took on Central Maine Community College in their home opener at the Augusta Civic Center. Sharp shooting from CMCC allowed them to take on the early lead against the Moose.
