In her first cross country meet of the season, Amero finished in 30:25 on a very difficult Vermont course. In just one week, she improved upon her 5k time by over 3 minutes earning a finishing time of 27:06 at Unity College. “I’ve been very impressed with her steady improvement,” says Coach Warren Newton. “ Tali always has a smile on her face and creates a happy, energetic atmosphere for the team. I jokingly tell her that if she can still smile, she’s not running fast enough!”
Interesting fact about Tali: She can bake absolutely delectable cinnamon buns.
Favorite class so far at UMA: “My favorite class has been my architecture studio class. One is immersed in design work and great people. What could be better?”
What she likes most about UMA: Amero says she really enjoys the small classes and the approachable professors at UMA.
Who is Tali’s mentor: “My mentor is my grandmother because of her ability to speak her mind and her love of life.”
