UMA Men’s team reels in Santiago!
AUGUSTA, ME- The University of Maine at Augusta men’s basketball team would like to announce the arrival of Jeremy Santiago. Santiago is a transfer from Eastern Maine Community College. At 6’3”, Santiago is a very diverse player that can play multiple positions and will bring a big man presence in the front court. “I feel like I can bring a lot of energy and physicality to the team. As a player who can play multiple positions I will be able to create mismatches and get my teammates easy looks on the court,” Jeremy states. He reeled in 10 points per game along with 7 rebounds last season. Santiago plans to major in computer information systems at UMA.
“Jeremy’s athleticism will make a huge impact on both ends of the floor. He is a proven YSCC talent that will bring many double doubles of scoring and rebounding to our lineup. Jeremy will be a great fit to the team chemistry and promising season ahead,” boasts Coach Jim Ford.
The UMA Moose are thrilled to add the Jeremy to the roster. The Men’s team is shaping up to have a very successful season, look for Santiago and the Moose this year!
