Seven Student-Athletes Graduate Last Saturday
AUGUSTA, ME—Seven student-athletes from the University of Maine at Augusta graduated this past Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.
Both Corinne Dingley (Farmington, ME) and Angelica Bulgin (Lisbon, ME) earned their BS in Dental Hygiene. Prior to attending classes on the Bangor campus, both Dingley and Bulgin played basketball for the Moose. Bulgin also ran cross country and played soccer.
The women’s basketball team also graduated Emily Karter (Waterville, ME) and Darby Toth (North Port, FL). Toth earned her Bachelors in Biology, while Karter completed a Bachelors in Applied Science. The two helped lead the Moose to their second USCAA National Tournament bid in program history. Both Karter and Toth earned honors as USCAA National Academic-All American Honors and Toth was also named to the USCAA Second-Team, making her a two-time All-American. Toth also joined the 1,000 point club during her time here at UMA.
Charlie Tompson (Freeport, ME) earned an Associates in Justice Studies. While at UMA he ran cross-country and played soccer.
Brandon Rogers (Turlock, CA) and Keith Chesley (Clinton, ME) both walked across the stage earning their Bachelors in Liberal Studies. Rogers' focus was Secondary Education, while Chelsey’s was Special Education. Chesley is UMA’s leading point scorer with over 2,000 points. Rogers is a 1,000 point scorer and both pulled in 1,000 rebounds throughout their time at UMA. Their efforts helped to lead the UMA men’s basketball team to two consecutive YSCC sportsmanship awards as well as Elite Eight tournament appearances.
On behalf of the entire UMA Athletics staff, we would like to congratulate our student-athletes. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. Go Moose!
