Card Commits to Lady Moose

AUGUSTA, ME- The University of Maine at Augusta women’s basketball team would like to announce the commitment of Morgan Card of Ellsworth, ME.  Card is transferring from Eastern Maine Community College where she had a very strong first year of college basketball.  Card averaged a double-double putting up 14.5 points and 11 rebounds per game.  She will be majoring in Education at UMA.

“We are thrilled to welcome Morgan into our Lady Moose family,” boasts head coach, Jennifer Laney.  “Morgan is an extremely tough competitor.  Her presence in the paint will be paramount for us this season.”

“I was looking for a college that I could continue my education and also be a student athlete,” says Card on her collegiate search.  “The basketball program at UMA was a big deciding factor.  This season I will bring my 100% work ethic, experience, toughness, dedication and positive attitude. I am looking forward to being part of the UMA family!”
