Men's and Women's Basketball Earn YSCC Community Service Award The men's and women's basketball teams have earned the 2019 YSCC Community Service Award for the leadership and service within the community. For the past two years, the University of Maine at Augusta men’s and women’s basketball teams have been working with an organization that matches up children who are facing life-threatening illnesses with athletic teams. Team Impact is a non-profit that harnesses the power of teamwork by matching these courageous kids with college athletic teams. Emma and Carter Blanche, a brother and sister with cystic fibrosis, have been a part of the Moose family since August 2017.

Preston and Simpson-Bragg Earn National USCAA Awards UNIONTOWN, PA - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced its All-American and End of the Year Award winners for Division II basketball during its National Championship Banquet at Seven Springs Resort on Saturday, March 2nd. The USCAA compliments each of these student-athletes on an exceptional season. The USCAA National All-Academic award is given to student-athletes with at least 24 credits and a 3.5 GPA.
Thompson Earns National Student-Athlete of the Year UNIONTOWN, PA—Noah Thompson was awarded National Student-Athlete of the Year (Men’s Basketball Division II) this past Saturday evening at the USCAA National Tournament Banquet. Each year the USCAA selects one student-athlete per sport to receive this prestigious award that encompasses academics success, community involvement, and service.
Moose Finish Season With Win Over Williamson SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE – The UMA men’s basketball team hosted Williamson Trade (Media, PA) on Saturday afternoon in South Portland at what would be the final game of the season for the Moose before entering the YSCC playoffs.
Moose Celebrate Three Men's Basketball Seniors AUGUSTA, MAINE – The UMA men's basketball team celebrated senior night with a match up against the NHTI Lynx. The Moose celebrated three senior who have been extremely dedicated to the program. Noah Thompson, Dustin Simpson-Bragg, and Jake Cummings saw their last collegiate basketball game at the Augusta Civic Center wearing their white uniforms.
