SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE – The UMA men's basketball team hosted Williamson Trade (Media, PA) on Saturday afternoon in South Portland at what would be the final game of the season for the Moose before entering the YSCC playoffs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Moose opened the game with a 3-point jumper from Israel Brown in the opening seconds of the game followed by a steal and 3-pointer by senior captain Noah Thompson. The Moose were able to maintain their lead through the first half with Williamson pulling within 3 with two minutes to go. UMA responded offensively going up 34-23 to close out the first half.
The Moose continued to control the game in the second half going up 50-29 with 13 minutes left in play and would open up their biggest lead of 26 points with 8 minutes left. The Moose would go on to win their last regular season game 71-54.

- Dustin Simpson-Bragg led the Moose with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks
- Israel Brown had 17 points, shooting 6-11 from the field and going 4-4 in free throws
The men travel to SMCC Sunday February 17th at 3PM to play the Seawolves in the YSCC quarterfinals.
