    AUGUSTA, ME – After a change in date due to snowy conditions on Tuesday, the UMA men’s basketball team faced NHTI (11-2, YSCC) in an important conference matchup Wednesday night. UMA hosted their Senior Night and started the evening by honoring senior Nick Bragg for his commitment to UMA basketball as well as for his achievements in the classroom.

    Dustin Simpson-Bragg was named YSCC Player of the Week. In two games this week, Simpson-Bragg averaged 38 points per game and was 9-13 from three-point land.

    Dominique Lewis, a 2016 graduate from Lawrence High School joins the Moose for second half of the 2016-2017 season. In high school, Lewis was a tri-sport athlete excelling in basketball, field hockey, and softball.

    NORTHFIELD, VT -- The UMA Men's Basketball team traveled to Vermont to participate in the Ed Hockenbury Classic hosted by Norwich University. The Moose opened the tournament against the Cadets with a steal followed by a dunk from Dustin Simpson-Bragg.

    AUGUSTA, ME— The Moose faced off against Pine Manor College of Newton, Massachusetts at the Augusta Civic Center last night. The Moose set the tone in the first half, with Noah Thompson, Dustin Simpson-Bragg, and Jordan Holmes combining for 36 points and 9 rebounds.

    AUGUSTA, ME—The UMA Men’s basketball team took on 8-1 Southern Maine Community College for the first time this season at the Augusta Civic Center. The Seawolves opened the game with a 6-0 run until Jordan Holmes drained his first 3 of the night leading to a back and forth throughout the first half of play.
  • Moose fall short to Lynx

    CONCORD, NH—The Moose tipped off against YSCC Conference opponent NHTI on Sunday, November 20th for the Championship game of the NHTI Hogan Camps Thanksgiving Tournament. A strong first half showing from Dustin Simpson-Bragg and Jordon Holmes were not enough to fend off the Lynx who outscored the Moose 61-43 in the first half.

This matchup between the two Yankee Small College Conference teams promised to be electrifying as both teams have similar styles of play; capitalizing on speed and athleticism.

    AUBURN, ME-- The UMA men’s basketball team began their regular season against the Vermont Tech Knights in Auburn, ME on Saturday, November 5th. The Moose were on fire right out of the gate; going on a 10-0 run to start the game.

    AUGUSTA, ME--Nick Bragg and Caitlin LaFountain were recognized on Friday, September 16th as Rising Scholars at UMA’s Convocation for both academic achievement and promise.
  • 4 Moose named USCAA Academic All-Americans
    The USCAA accepts nominations for its National All-Academic Team for each sport offered by a member institution.
  • Plummer and Simpson-Bragg named to All-American Teams
    The USCAA offers coaches the opportunity to vote on nominations for USCAA All-Americans every season and this year Jamie Plummer and Dustin Simpson-Bragg were both selected.
  • Men's NHTI Holiday Inn New Year's Classic
    CONCORD, NH –The UMA men’s basketball team traveled to the NHTI Holiday Inn New Year's Classic where they faced off against Berkley NYC to open tournament weekend. 
  • Moose Prevail Against Wyverns
    CONCORD, NH—In the first out of conference match-up for the Moose, the team traveled to NHTI for the Hogan Camps Thanksgiving Tournament where they matched up against Quinsigamond Community College. The Moose were sparked by early scoring from Dustin Simpson-Bragg who dropped in 10 of his 24 points in the first half.
