AUGUSTA - The 49th University of Maine at Augusta commencement was held on Saturday, May 14th, celebrating 400 hundred students receiving their respective degrees. In the graduating class, there were 9 student-athletes that received their degrees at the Civic Center before their friends, family, and faculty.
UMA athletics has had another successful year in terms of competitiveness as well as making an impact to the local community. Student-athletes have earned both academic and athletic honors on the national level.

UNITY, ME—The UMA women’s basketball team traveled to Unity to host conference opponentCollege of St. Joseph (CSJ) Sunday afternoon. This match up was between two USCAA top 10 ranked schools; CSJ sitting at the 10th spot, and UMA at the 8th.
Dominique Lewis, a 2016 graduate from Lawrence High School joins the Moose for second half of the 2016-2017 season. In high school, Lewis was a tri-sport athlete excelling in basketball, field hockey, and softball.
